Why is the account username optional? When you create an account with 1HostUnitedKingdom Online you are assigned a unique account number, which can then be used to authenticate your credentials when visiting our site. As a convenience to our customers we also provide the option to create a unique username for the account, which will function exactly the same way as the account number. A customer that has both, an account number and a username, can use either to login to our site and manage their products and services.

Who should use a Username? Customers that prefer to set their credentials with an easy-to-remember nickname are welcome to create a username for their accounts.

What are the restrictions on Usernames? The Username must be between 5 and 16 characters in length. Only allowed characters are a to z and 0 to 9. Must include letters - it can not be only numbers. Can not start with a number - the first character should always be a letter. The Username is not cap-sensitive.
